Creepy Pasta 41 - Short Story 12

Supplies!

Something to help improve your Monday blues.

So first off, the answer to the last short story.
Here is a last try, Short Story 11.
New? Start from the rest here,

The answer,
The click and scratch was the  sound of the door opening.

Those of you who got it,

Free smiles or "awwws" for you!

Now, down to what you are here for.

Short Story 12.

I was driving home one night when I passed a lady standing in the street waving frantically. She looked distraught and I stopped to lend her a hand. Walking up towards her, I noticed that she was heavily pregnant. She ran forward and grabbed my arm pulling me forward. She told me about an accident that happened, a car had fell off the side of the road down a sleep slope and she can't get down there to help. She also kept asking me to save the driver first. I asked her to stay put by my car and I promised her I would as I rushed down to the wreckage to help.

As I was making my way down to the wreckage, I took out my mobile and called for the emergency services. Telling them where the wreckage was and how badly it was damaged, I hung up and rushed forward to help the victims. I found 2 people in the car, a couple. Rushing forward, I opened the driver side door and carried the man out. He was covered in blood but he was in a stable condition. Resting him a safe distance away, I ran back in to help the passenger. As I was helping her out, the paramedics arrived and took over as I went back to give all the information I knew. Minutes later, they informed me that I could leave as they had things under control.

Returning home, I fell asleep quickly. The next day, I got a call from the police informing me that the driver had made it. Sadly the lady did not make it but her child had survived. They thanked me and told me where I could visit the family. Hanging up, I felt happy but a little sad.

Creepy Pasta 40 - Short Story 11

What is up my lovely readers.
I am so sorry for being missing for so long but I am back!

Wasn't that a lovely start.
Let us get started, shall me.

So, as per usual, here is the last short story Short Story 10
Short Story 4Short Story 3Short Story 2 and Short Story 1.
Do start from the first one if you are new.

Well, the last one was pretty simple.
The answer, the guy is dead and she killed him.

So, for those of you who got it,

Now, for a new and long awaited story.

Short Story 11.

An artist moved to the rural countryside where his nearest neighbors are miles away and the silence is deafening. Where the road stretches for miles and miles and hardly any cars drive by.
He had an idea for a new project and the theme for this new project was "seclusion".
No phones, no internet, no neighbors.

All alone.

He decided to record everything on an old tape recorder he has. It was old and worn out but the sounds it picked up are unique and distorts everything to a vintage feel.

So he began, recording as he goes about his daily life. Painting, eating, cleaning, gardening and even sleeping. As days went by, so did his sanity. He slowly felt the emptiness of being alone but that didn't deter him. His inspiration was free flowing and it distracted him from the loneliness.

When night comes and as he lies in bed, it hits him, hard. He tosses and turns, his lonely mind thinking.
The silence eating into his brain. This is driving him crazy.

2 weeks had gone by. He felt that it was long enough and he started to listen to the tapes. Tape by tape went by. Sounds of him working, eating, cleaning and even talking to himself. Soon, the recordings were of him sleeping and it was nothing but silence.

Half way through, there was a sound. Faint but clear. A light click with a slight scratch. Must be a glitch in the tape, he thought. As he continued listening to the tapes, he noticed something. Every night, that glitch would happen, always half way through the night.

Getting out of bed, he loaded in a new tape and hit record. Opening the door, he walked out and slipped, dropping his recorder. Picking it up, he hit play to check if it was broken and he heard it.
Loud and clear, the click and slight scratching.

Creepy Pasta 39 - Totoro, the other story.

Totoro, the other story.

We have all seen this movie right?

If so, enjoy a new perspective.

If not, stop reading and watch it asap.
It is amazing.
A plot summary here if you need to refresh your memory.

So, have you heard of the other story.

First, do check out this case.
Keep that case in mind as we move forward into the story.

First off, remember these?

They are called Susuwatari or wondering soot.
In some legends, when they are near, death is close.

Now back to the main story.
According to the movie, their mother is ill but we have no real knowledge of what her illness is.
According to the story, her mother is in a ward for the terminally ill.

According to the legend, Totoro is a messenger of death and whoever sees him will die soon after.
This means Mei would be the first.

Mei goes missing and her slipper is found in a pond which Satsuki lied about it not belonging to her sister, out of denial and continues searching for her.

In tune with the Sayama Incident, the younger sister goes missing.
Also, according to reports from the incident, the older sister was frantically searching too.
Coincidence? Maybe.

Now Satsuki pleads Totoro and also, the cat bus to bring her to Mei.

According to Japanese folk lore, cats are known to bring the recently deceased back to the realm of the dead.
This is also further backed up by the cat bus as the destination is not the location of where Mei is but rather Mei herself.
Also, the cat bus mentions that no one can see them, further proving that Satsuki is now dead and the living can now no longer see her.

Now, the hospital scene.
They arrive and sit outside the window, watching their parents talk.
Why didn't they just go inside instead?
How did the parents not see them?
Why did they leave the corn?

According to the legend, they are already dead at this point and because of that, the parents can't see them.
Leaving the corn was the only way they could interact with their parents.

Now, for the final scenes that show the family back together.
If they were all dead, wouldn't that be impossible?
Simple.
According to the legend, the final scenes seem to be a happy epilogue, but they in fact happened "before" the major events in the movie.

Some more facts to further the legend.

The sister does not have a shadow late in the movie, after she supposedly dies.

In the real life case, the younger sister was missing first and the older sister was seen to be looking for her frantically. Next day, the younger sister's body was found in the forest (stabbed to death). The older sister was in such a state of shock and kept rambling ambiguous words about seeing a "cat monster", "great big racoon monster"

The real murder took place in May. Also the youngest child is named Mei (pronounced 'May'). This could be a coincidence, but the older sister is named Satsuki, which is also another way to say May.

Remember the scene with the huge tree. The children sit atop this huge tree (which umbrellas the small house) playing flutes with the Totoros. The father looks out to see this, smiles happily and continues his writing. The suggestion is that he is writing about his deceased daughters doing exactly what they are shown doing.

In the scene where Mei is lost and crying, she is sitting next to 6 Jizo Jizo statues, a buddhist deity that looks after the souls of deceased children and aborted fetuses in Japanese culture.

It is said that this is why the mother was able to briefly sense her (already dead) daughters nearing the end; she too is near death.

Creepy Pasta 38 - Short Story 10

Booyah!
Enjoying the holidays?

I bet you are.

So, last try on the last story. Short Story 9
and the rest of the stories. Short Story 8, Short Story 7Short Story 6Short Story 5
Short Story 4Short Story 3Short Story 2 and Short Story 1.

The answer,
Who was he sleeping with?

So, figured it out?
More cats for you!

So, the next story.
It's a little long for a short story but do enjoy.

Short Story 10.

Still no messages on my phone.
I guess he wasn’t going to call me back after  all.
I can’t really blame him, maybe I came on a bit too fast yesterday.
I had noticed him long before he noticed me. His shiny black hair and unnatural blue eyes. I wasn’t the only one watching him, that’s for sure. His movements were elegant in a boyish way. And his smile…his smile.

I would die for that smile.
Still no messages…
I thought about calling him, maybe apologize for going too fast yesterday. I’m a coward, I know, but I just couldn’t bring myself to dial his number.
Besides he’d promised he’d contact me when he’s ready.

So I’ll wait. I’m patient.
I know, I’ll just casually stroll past his house. Just to see if he’s home. Maybe he’s out, that would explain why he couldn’t call me yet.

He only lives half an hour away anyway. Maybe he’s shy and is scared to call me. Silly boy. I’ll go to him and tell him that he doesn’t have to be scared. That I don’t mind if he needs time.

He lives pretty secluded in a farm on the outskirts of town. I can hear the sheep in the stables as I approach. My heart skips when I see there’s lights burning inside. He must be there, he told me yesterday his parents would be gone for the weekend. They left him to look after the sheep for those days. Poor baby, that must be hard work. He was probably just too busy to call me. I’ll have to stay here until his parents come back and help him take care of all those sheep.
I knock on the door, but he doesn’t answer. Maybe he fell asleep. The thought of his beautiful face even more softened by sleep makes me smile. I try the door, it’s unlocked. There’s hardly any crime around here, so I guess locking the door is not needed. I try to be as quiet as possible as I sneak through the house. I want to surprise him. I cringe at every creak the stairs make as I climb them.

Finally I’ve reached the bedroom and I carefully open the door.

There he is, lying in bed as I thought. Quietly I switch on the nightlight on his desk so I can see his face.

His blue eyes are open, staring into space and his whole face is one bloody mess. His cheeks have been carved, the skin mostly removed and hanging loose on the sides of his face. He’s missing his fingernails, they are laid out on the bed carefully arranged. On his bare chest words are carved.

I look at him, my hands covering my mouth.

He’s still the same as I left him yesterday. He must have been so tired that he slept all day. How cute!
I softly kiss his forehead, making sure I don’t wake him. Then I write another message below the one on his chest, letting him know I’m here when he needs me.
I leave the room, heading back outside. I think it’s time for the sheep to go to sleep.
And tomorrow I’ll introduce myself to his parents. I’m sure they’ll love me too.

Creepy Pasta 37 - Short Story 9

Hey all you sexy folks.
Sorry for the absence but I am back so please don't wave a hair brush at me.

Damn, too late.
I am ashamed.

With that out of the way, let me give you the answer to the last short story.
If you missed it, here it is. Short Story 8
Here are the others, Short Story 7Short Story 6Short Story 5
Short Story 4Short Story 3Short Story 2 and Short Story 1.

So, the answer.
It wasn't a dream.

So, to those who got it,

Now, a new short story.

Short Story 9.

When I was little, thunders used to really scare me. I was sleeping one night when a loud thunder woke me up. I jumped out of bed and ran into my parent's bedroom like always. Getting into bed behind my parents, I soon fell asleep feeling safe. After an hour, the door bell rang. I woke up and headed to the door. I opened the door and my parents had just got home. Letting them in, I headed back to my room after giving them hugs to go back to sleep. Boy, I was tired.
